These General Terms of Use (GTU) govern the use of the Excompta platform, accessible via the excompta.com website. Excompta is a SaaS solution for AI-powered accounting management, intended for businesses and organizations subject to OHADA standards.

Definitions

"Excompta": refers to the platform published by ORIGIN SYSTEMS. "User": refers to any person or organization using the Excompta platform. "Organization": refers to the professional client using Excompta's services to manage their accounting.

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any of our services, you agree to these General Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Description of Services

Excompta provides an AI-powered accounting platform that includes:

• WhatsApp-based submission of invoices and receipts for accounting processing.
• AI-powered extraction of amounts, dates, and categories from documents.
• Human validation of entries by partner accountants.
• Generation of OHADA-compliant financial reports and statements.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent accounting documents.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the platform.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform.

Pricing and Payment

Prices are set according to the chosen plan. Payment is made by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) or Mobile Money - WAEMU Zone (Moov Money, MTN Mobile Money, etc. via FedaPay). Invoices are issued by ORIGIN SYSTEMS. Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until cancelled. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

Responsibilities

ORIGIN SYSTEMS: Commits to providing a service available 99% of the time but cannot be held responsible for interruptions related to the host or the user's internet connection. The Organization: Is responsible for the veracity of the information provided and the proper use of the solution.

Intellectual Property

All elements of the platform (software, AI algorithms, interfaces, logos) are the exclusive property of ORIGIN SYSTEMS. The "Excompta" and "Origin Systems" brands are registered trademarks. Any unauthorized reproduction, modification, or exploitation is strictly prohibited.

Disclaimer

Our services are provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. While our AI and accountant partners strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all entries will be error-free. You are ultimately responsible for reviewing and approving all accounting entries.

Limitation of Liability

ORIGIN SYSTEMS commits to providing a service available 99% of the time but cannot be held responsible for interruptions related to the host or the user's internet connection. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ORIGIN SYSTEMS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These GTU are governed by Beninese law, in compliance with the Digital Code (Law No. 2017-20). In the event of a dispute, and after the failure of any attempt to seek an amicable solution, the courts of Cotonou shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Modification and Termination

ORIGIN SYSTEMS reserves the right to modify these GTU at any time. Users will be informed by email 15 days before the new conditions take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
